During this year's (2012) election cycle the following positions are up for election:

Executive Committee - EXCOM
  • 3 positions on the Executive Committee (EXCOM); - 3 year term
  • The primary responsibility of the EXCOM is to provide overall governance, strategic planning, policy, and oversight of policy implementation and general processes within SISO.

Conference Committee - CC
  • 5 positions on the Conference Committee (CC); - 2 year term
  • The primary responsibility of the CC are to organize and manage the semi-annual workshops and to promote the standardization of interoperable simulations across the M&S community.

Standards Activity Committee - SAC
  • 5 positions on the Standards Activity Committee (SAC); - 2 year term
  • The primary responsibility of the SAC is to provide overall management of the SISO product development process.

Forum Planning and Review Panels (PRPs)

  • All Forum PRPs are a one year term!
  • The primary responsibility of PRP members is to coordinate the overall planning for a Forum, including soliciting, reviewing, and hosting papers and presentations.

 Analysis/RD&E (ARD&E) Forum - 9 positions available. Formed by the 2012 merging of the ANL and RD&E forums. 
 

Command & Control/M&S Services (C2M&S) Forum - 8 positions available. Will incorporate the technical aspects of the IO-ISR forum which is dissolved in 2012.

Communications, Frameworks and Infrastructure (CFI) Forum - 7 positions available

Distributed Simulation Processes and Tools (DSPT) Forum - 7 positions available 
 
Human Systems Modeling (HSM) Forum - 6 positions available. Formerly the Human Social Culture Behavior Modeling - Crisis Management and Societal Security (HSCB-CMSS) Forum. 2012 elections will include the human aspects of the IO-ISR forum which is dissolved.  

Information Operations-Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (IO-ISR) Forum - Dissolved in 2012 with the technical apects assumed by the C2/M&S Forum and the human element assumed by HSM.  

Research, Development, and Engineering (RD&E) Forum - Merged in 2012 with ANL to form the ARD&E Forum.

System Life Cycle (SLC) Forum - 6 positions available

Simulation and Environment Reuse (SER) Forum - 5 positions available

Space Community (SPACE) Forum - 7 positions available

Test and Evaluation (T&E) Forum - 5 positions available

Training (TRAIN) Forum - 7 positions available 
 
Verification, Validation & Accreditation (VV&A) Forum - 5 positions available
