BOM PSG - Base Object Model
The BOM Product Support Group (PSG) supports the approved SISO-STD-003-2006 BOM Template Specification standard and the SISO-STD-003.1-2006 Guide for BOM Use and Implementation. The BOM PSG will serve as a central point for interpretations of product language, providing help desk support to the SISO community, and accepting, developing, and maintaining problem/change reports to support future product revisions.
CMSD PSG - Core Manufacturing Simulation Data
The CMSD Product Support Group (PSG) supports SISO-STD-008-2010 which defines a data interface specification for efficient exchange of manufacturing life cycle data in a simulation environment. The specification provides neutral data interfaces for integrating manufacturing software applications with simulation systems.
TOR approved by the SAC 4 Jan 11 transitioning CMSD from a PDG to a PSG.
DIS PSG - Distributed Interactive Simulation
The Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) Product Support Group (PSG) is a permanent support group chartered by the SISO SAC to support DIS products such as the IEEE 1278 series of standards. It exists to provide support even when no DIS PDG is currently active and working on a new version of a DIS standard.
DSEEP PSG - Distributed SImulation Engineering and Execution Process
The Distributed Simulation Engineering and Execution Process (DSEEP) PSG was established to maintain the DSEEP standard. This includes providing a forum for users to share their practical experiences with the DSEEP on their programs, and to provide feedback on the correctness and consistency of the process description. The PSG also provides a forum for users to identify potential changes to the DSEEP, which will be maintained for consideration at future DSEEP revision cycles.
EDRS PSG - Environmental Data Representation Standards
The Environmental Data Representation Standards Product Support Group (EDRS PSG) supports the SEDRIS family of ISO/IEC standards.
HLA-Evolved PSG - High Level Architecture-Evolved
The IEEE 1516 series of HLA specifications was originally approved by the IEEE Standards Activity (SA) Board in Fall 2000. Since that time, a DoD Interpretations Document for IEEE 1516 and a Dynamic Link Compatible HLA API for IEEE 1516.1 have been in active development. In addition, many new potential HLA requirements have been identified based on feedback from the various domains and application areas that comprise the HLA user community.
TADIL TALES PSG - Tactical Digital Information Link-Technical Advice and Lexicon for Enabling Simulation
The TADIL TALES PSG will support the approved SISO-STD-002 Link 16 standard for IEEE 1278.1a (DIS) and IEEE 1516 (HLA) by providing a central point for interpretations of SISO-STD-002 product language, providing help desk support to the SISO community, and accepting, developing, and maintaining problem/change reports to support future product revisions..
VV&A PSG - Verification Validation & Accreditation Overlay to Federation Development
A key issue associated with the use, reuse, and interoperability of simulations and simulation components is credibility. In October 2003, a Product Development Group was formed to address the issue of High Level Architecture (HLA) federation credibility through the establishment of VV&A guidance. The resulting product, Recommended Practice for Verification, Validation, and Accreditation - an overlay to the High Level Architecture Federation Development and Execution Process was approved as an IEEE Standard 1516.4 in December 2007.
