Conference Theme: M&S: Innovation at the Intersections
SISO is about interoperability. We are widening our vision to address interdisciplinary interoperability as an enabler of cross-domain synergy.

How do we energize innovation? One answer lies at the intersection of different domains. Much of M&S technology development has been linear -- like-minded people working to advance the state-of-the-art in military training application, Simulation Based Acquisition and warfare analysis. In the meantime, the bio-medical, automotive, petro-chemical communities, among countless others, have been advancing their understanding of M&S science and technology. It's time for us to converge, to explore our common and diverse interests exploring the intersection and seeking an explosion of ideas.

Pick two people, with different experiences and maybe even different training, and put them together and you've got that kind of a synergy, an exchange of ideas. Because whatever this person says will provoke a hundred different ideas in this other one and a hundred different memories. -- interview with Gianfranco Zaccai (CEO Design Continuum) for How Breakthroughs Happen by Andrew Hargadon.

We invite all interested persons to submit papers identifying and amplifying technologies, techniques and processes for implementing some aspect of nterdisciplinary interoperability in M&S. We place no restrictions on the original field of endeavor. We are actively seeking new ideas and methods.

NOTE - AUTHOR WORKSHOP ATTENDANCE:
All workshop attendees are expected to pay the appropriate registration fee. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register (and pay the appropriate registration fee) for the Workshop, even if none of the authors plans to attend the workshop.
