    • SISO Vision
The updated SISO Vision document, SISO-ADMIN-004-2007, was approved by the EXCOM on 11 June 2007. This document can be found at SISO Products and on the "About SISO" page along with our other governing documents.

    • BPDSP Update
SISO's Balloted Products Development and Support Process, SISO-ADM-003-2008, currently under revision, is most easily accessible on the "About SISO" page, but can also be found under "SISO Products", and in the File Library. The 2010 update will reflect discussions and clarifications on the review of product nominations (PNs), clarification on ballot pools and ballot recirculations, the removal of appendices which are now separate SISO templats, and overall editorial improvements.

    • P&P Update:
SISO's Policies and Procedures, SISO-ADM-002-2008.1, is under revision. It is most easily accessible on the "About SISO" page, but can also be found under "SISO Products", and in the File Library.

The update includes a complete revision of the appeals process, requires SISO membership for Committee and Panel member’s self nomination to be maintained throughout their terms of office, requires PDG and PSG members to be SISO members, and discusses the process for electronic votes conducted by Committees.

    • SSG and PSG Defined:
In addition to Study Groups (SG) and Product Development Groups (PDG), SISO established two additional concepts in 2006. Descriptions are in the 2006 version of the P&P:
A Standing Study Group (SSG) may be established to represent a specific community or national group, to mature a potential standard, or potentially to provide support to open-source software. SSGs may have an indefinite life span. Approved SSGs
A Product Support Group (PSG) will be established upon completion of a balloted SISO product or SISO sponsored product to offer continuity and a place for developers and users of the standards to ask questions, request explanations, seek support, or register change requests for subsequent versions of the product. The PSG takes responsibility for the product at Step 5 of the Balloted Products Development and Support Process. Approved PSGs.

    • Product Update:
Check SISO Products in the left-hand menu for the latest reports and updates. Those marked have been recently approved; Coming Soon! documents are undergoing the approval process.
