The Board of Directors Corner

In May, SISO ran its first non-SIW conference. The Computer Generated Forces (CGF) Conference brought industry leaders together to discuss the latest and greatest developments in the area of intelligence representation, software architectures, and functional requirements of battlefield artificial intelligence. Recognized as the leading workshop for this topic, the CGF Conference was executed under the SISO's umbrella for the first time, leveraging off of our infrastructure for hosting these types of events.

This is a milestone event for SISO, whose strategic plan includes hosting many more conferences like the CGF conference for other simulation related topics. Supporting these conferences reduces the cost to the attendees and sponsors by leveraging off of our much larger expenditures for the SIWs. By all accounts, the conference was extremely well run. Putting on these related simulation events also reinforces SISO's position as the industry's nexus of simulation interoperability technology. This achievement is a harbinger of more good things to come.
