Editors Corner: The Webletter has a New Name
Article by: W.H. (Dell) Lunceford  (dell@lunceford.com)

I assume everyone noticed the new banner and name for the webletter. As we continue to mature and establish the SISO 'e-zine' as THE simulation magazine to read, we felt that a name change was in order. The intent is still to provide up-to-date information on the activities of SISO, but we also want to be able to support the simulation community at large. This will potentially bring more participants to SISO and basically help bring the vast simulation community closer together. It was also felt that the term 'webletter' was not nearly descriptive enough of content or direction - hence the name change. Continue to look for more changes in the future and do not be shy - if you have any comments about content or form let us know. And above all else, feel free to write something. We have a readership approaching 2000 and it is still growing!

By the way, many thanks go to Michael Myjak mmyjak@virtualworkshop.com for suggesting the new name. We had a number of really good recommendations, any one of which would have been excellent but 'Simulation Technology' seemed to be a nice descriptor. Depending on how good our search engine placement is, the name is something that might pop up to an unexpected future SISO participant!

Next step. . . put the logo on a coffee cup. As I learned in program manager's school, once you have your name on a coffee cup, the project never dies!
