Travel tips
You really don't need a car in downtown Boston. In fact, you don't want a car. Parking is expensive.
There's an
MTBA stop right (Aquarium) right next to the hotel. Aquarium, on the Blue Line, is only two
stops from Logan Airport (a $2.00 ride). Or, for a special experience, you can ride the
Logan Ferry from
the Airport right to the hotel at Long Wharf (a seven-minute trip) for $1.70. A taxi from the airport will
cost about $20, including tip.
Nearby attractions
Right across the street from the hotel is
Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, one of Boston's main shopping
and dining attractions. Here's a list of some 50
restaurants within easy walking distance, many of them
in the market, others close by. Faneuil (pronounced "fan-yoo-il") Hall is on the world-famous Freedom
Trail (here's an excellent
map) which includes Old Ironsides, Paul Revere's House, and several other historic
points. The
Aquarium is next door to the hotel.
Weather
You'll want to bring a warm jacket. Daytime highs average in the low fifties, nighttime lows around 40.
Snow is rare in April, but rain isn't.
